Kirby Risk Corporation is a large electrical products supply and service organization, with several operating companies specializing in related business services. Trilogy Computing has been working with Kirby Risk for over 10 years. In 1989, we began serving what is now the "manufacturing" arm of Kirby Risk -- Kirby Risk Service Center -- with numerous custom applications and systems support. This relationship continues today, with several integrated custom applications in use, including bar code time data collection, specialized EDI harness order processing, wire cut machine control, motor test center data management and others.

We began working with Kirby Risk Electric Motor Repair when only two or three disconnected PCs were being used.. We installed the first multi-user Job Tracking System application about a year later, and continued to design, develop, install, and support numerous applications over the years. We were responsible for applications and support for what has become a four business unit, seven location manufacturing operation within the Kirby Risk Corporation.

The Kirby Risk business units we serve or have served are Kirby Risk Service Center, Kirby Risk Electric Motor Repair, Kirby Risk Precision Machine, and Arco Electric. SAP was recently installed throughout the corporation, replacing several custom "front-office" applications developed and supported by us over the last several years. Most of our shop floor control and data collection applications remain.

Recently completed was a new 3-tiered bar code time data collection application, written in VB 6 with a SQL 7.0 database, and tightly integrated to SAP.
